Dr Jackie James, BSc (Hons), PGCE, DHealth Science
Complementary Therapist and Research Reporting Methodologist
Dr Jacqueline James has been a reflexology therapist and educator for over 25 years. After a corporate career with leading companies such as AT&T and IBM, she sought a more fulfilling path and trained as a reflexology therapist—an area that quickly became her passion. She has a particular interest in the effects of reflexology on the endocrine system and specializes in supporting clients with fertility concerns, menopausal symptoms, and the effects of stress. In addition to her clinical work, Jacqueline developed her own method of Facial Reflexology, which she teaches at Calming Influences, her training school dedicated to providing high-quality continuing professional education for qualified reflexologists.
Dr. James is committed to advancing the field of reflexology through education and evidence-based practice, underpinned by high-quality research. To this end, she completed a professional doctorate in Health Sciences at the University of Portsmouth in 2024 and has authored two published papers (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.eujim.2024.102391 and https://doi.org/10.1016/j.eujim.2024.102416).
Alongside her research and teaching, Dr. James runs a private reflexology practice and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences.
