Seminar #1: Introduction to Structural Reflexology®
Introduction to Structural Reflexology®
Speaker: Geraldine Villeneuve
Founder of Structural Reflexology®
➡️ Description
The goal of Structural Reflexology® is to help clients recover from chronic stress and pain by assessing why and where compensation sets into the body based on foot alignment and function and correlates this information with knowledge of the feet as a microcosm of the body.
Structural Reflexology Therapists first assess the condition of the feet by asking clients to walk on and off a Harris Ink mat which imprints their feet onto paper to show how each foot carry the weight of their boy in one step. Darker inked areas on the print show where feet are carrying to much weight at one time on their foot and other areas where there is no ink tell where feet are not connecting to the ground as they should. In both instances, prints reveal local and reflexive reactions as their feet struggle to maintain balance due to faulty foot mechanics.
The Structural Reflexology protocol then begins by reflexing within zones and guidelines on each foot while integrating the release of muscle and joint tension that overlap with reflex sites. This method deeply calms the nervous system as well as assist 38 joints of the foot into healthier and more functional alignment which bring the feet back to a stage that is comfortable and functional, thus relieving symptoms presenting in other parts of the body caused by compensation.
