Dr. Peter Mackereth, PhD

Peter has worked in intensive care, neurology, and oncology, and most recently as Clinical Lead Nurse for Complementary & Wellbeing Services. Peter has an MA in Medical Ethics and has completed a PhD examining reflexology vs. relaxation training for people with MS. He has trained in reflexology, acupuncture, clinical hypnotherapy, biodynamic bodywork  and aromatherapy/ massage. Peter has authored numerous papers, books, and chapters. Peter’s recent and on-going collaborative studies include evaluating interventions for needle anxiety and phobia, fatigue, smoking cessation, peripheral neuropathy, and lung cancer related breathlessness, cough, and fatigue. Peter is the lead tutor for the ‘Complementary Approaches to End-of-Life Care’.
